In the Brussels-Capital Region there are two approved test centres for the B theory driving test:

Do you want to take your B driving licence practical test in Brussels? Then you must also have taken your theory test in Brussels. Anyone who has taken their theory test in Flanders or Wallonia cannot take their practical test in Brussels. So plan this carefully in advance.

 

B driving licence test centres in Wallonia

In Wallonia, driving licence tests are organised by approved centres affiliated to the Walloon equivalent of GOCA. The centres are spread across the Walloon provinces. For an up-to-date overview, it is best to consult autosecurite.be or the official Walloon government websites.

 

Can you choose a test centre yourself?

Yes — in principle you are free to choose any test centre you want, regardless of where you live. A resident of Ghent can take their B driving licence theory test in Antwerp, and vice versa.

Exception: for the practical test in Brussels, you must also have taken your theory test in Brussels. Otherwise, you have complete freedom of choice.

Do you need an appointment for the B driving licence theory test?

Whether you need an appointment depends on the test centre. Most centres work by appointment (fully or partly). Always check this in advance on the centre’s website.
