Daan Van Isterdael is co-founder of RAPP, the Belgian online learning platform for the theory test for driving licences A and B. As a technology consultant, he combined his knowledge of digital products with a concrete frustration: the driving licence process in Belgium was stuck in a paper era.

Together with Tars Van Der Vaerent and Nick Van Isterdael, Daan decided to do things differently. RAPP was built from the candidate’s perspective — with realistic mock exams, hazard perception training and a smart learning coach that identifies weaknesses and adjusts accordingly.

In 2026, RAPP was mentioned in De Tijd as one of the most promising Belgian startups. The platform serves more than 10,000 users in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia, in Dutch, French and English.
